Hello everybody!!
Today I'm going to share with you a song that has a very important message. It's "Imagine" by John Lennon. It promotes tolerance, equality, peace, love and lots of good values that we must feel.
In these lyrics, you have to change some words because they are not accurate, they sound similar to the original ones but they are not correct. With this song, you also can review and practise the simple present tense.
Watch the video, listen to the song and try to experience all the emotions that it transmits to you.
IMAGINE
(JOHN LENNON)
Imagine there’s no heathen
It’s easy if you cry
No hell be loud us
Above is only spy
Imagine old the people
Leaving for today.
Imagine there’s no counties
It isn’t hard to doe
Nothing to kill or dye for and no
religion too
Imagine old the people
Living life in piece.
You may say I’m a dreamer
But I’m not the only one
I hope someday you enjoy us
And the word will live as one
Imagine no possessions I wander
if you can
No need for greet or hunger
A brotherhood of man
Imagine old the people
Sharing all the word

Hello classmate!
ReplyDeleteI like so much this post because I think that this activity is really interesting. I love this song and change words make to the pupils read with attention, listen and speak about this song. When they finish can check the answers. It's perfect!
Regards.
Thank you very much, Sonia! It's true that preparing this kind of activity takes you more time because you have to look for similar words in pronuntiation but then, it's more enjoyable and more useful in class.
DeleteI will try to prepare and share more in this blog.
Thanks a lot again.
Best regards,
Rocío
Hello!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations for your blog but chiefly for this activity. It's a very original way to practice listening, pronunciation and vocabulary. At the same time, children will know a great singer. It's the perfect excuse to talk about The Beatles. I love it!
